Reese had previously expressed her interest in working with Reese's in the past, having acknowledged being excluded from the candy brand's multiple NIL deals with NCAA athletes who shared her last name in 2022, as well as years prior.

"I’ve been trying to get this deal for 4 YEARS! Without an agency, all I have is a FIRE INDEPENDENT MANAGER/AGENT that always stood on business about me since day one! I appreciate the fan support but @JeanineJuliano DID THIS! anyway we MOVE! HAPPY REESE’S PIECES DAYYY," Reese wrote on her X account.

Reese, who was selected by the Sky at No. 7 overall, set the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles with 15 last month and has recorded a double-double in four consecutive regular season games, as well as the WNBA All-Star Game in which she and No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever were the only rookies selected. The former LSU standout also recently announced her decision to play in the new 3x3 professional women's basketball league, Unrivaled, which was founded by Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and reigning WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and will provide WNBA players the opportunity to play for compensation during the offseason without having to travel overseas.
