Here's What Ben Affleck Had Engraved On Jennifer Lopez's Engagement Ring

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on Tuesday (August 20), exactly two years after the pair tied the knot following their early 2000s whirlwind romance.

The "On The Floor" songstress officially severed ties with Affleck at L.A. County Superior Court without an attorney or lawyer present, nearly four months after their quiet split.

According to Page Six , when the former pair married in 2022, they assumed they would be together forever, so much so that they didn't sign a prenup (meaning that money made during their marriage is now "community property"), and Affleck had "not.going.anywhere" engraved on the massive engagement ring he gifted Lopez.

The exes are still attempting to reach a financial settlement regarding their joint Beverly Hills property, put up for sale in July.

A few weeks ago, an inside source revealed that the silver screen icons were waiting to announce their separation out of respect for their families, specifically their children. In fact, when Lopez filed for divorce, Affleck was halfway across the country helping his 18-year-old daughter, Violet , move into Yale University with ex-wife Jennifer Garner .

Just yesterday, Page Six reported that the Argo star had not been interested in making their marriage work for quite some time, forcing J Lo to "look out for herself."

"He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself."

Neither Lopez nor Affleck have yet to publicly comment on their divorce as legalities proceed.
