Texas Rapper Enchanting's Cause Of Death Revealed

Rapper Enchanting died unexpectedly after she accidentally overdosed on opioids.

According to a report TMZ published on Friday, August 23, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the Texas native had a deadly amount of oxycodone and benzodiazepines in her system when she passed away in June. Enchanting, born Channing Nicole Larry, was reportedly rushed to the hospital two months ago and placed on life support. It's still not clear what happened in the moments leading up to her trip to the ER. She died several hours later. She was only 26 years old.

Enchanting got her start in the music industry eight years ago with her debut mixtape Love & Drugs . Gucci Mane signed the 26-year-old artist to his 1017 label in 2020 after years of dropping music independently. According to 1017's website, Enchanting previously credited producer J. White Did It for introducing her to Gucci. It also described her sound as "Trap N Blues." Guwop took to Instagram and paid homage to Big Chant shortly after her death was confirmed.

"So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting 😢 💔," Gucci wrote.

Gucci Mane and Enchanting collaborated on several songs before she died like "Large Amounts," "Issa Photoshoot," "Big Chant" and the title track of her 2022 album No Luv . She left the label after her final album dropped. After her death, Enchanting's estate dropped her first posthumous single "Rich Money" via Change The Game/Virgin Music Group.
