Diddy wants Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones' lawsuit tossed out after he accused the producer of trying to ruin his reputation in order to cash in.

On Monday, August 26, Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team filed a motion to dismiss the second-amended lawsuit Jones filed earlier this year. In court documents obtained by iHeartRadio, the artist's attorney Marc Agnifilo argued that Jones' main goal was to stir up enough media attention to squeeze out a hefty settlement from Combs.

“Jones’ Second Amended Complaint is his third attempt to dress up a run of the mill commercial disagreement as a salacious RICO conspiracy," Agnifilo wrote in the document.

Agnifilo cited a video that Jones recently appeared in with rapper Uncle Murda . The video stems from Jones' time in Shreveport, La. during 50 Cent's Humor and Harmony weekend. In the video, Jones laughs when Murda mentions the lawsuit. "I’m from Chicago, we don’t play about our business," Jones warned. He also agreed when Murda said to get "that money by Monday."

Diddy's attorney also rails against the claims Jones made in his initial lawsuit from February. Jones accused the music and media mogul of forcing him to engage in sexual activities and solicit sex workers for over a year while they worked together on The Love Album: Off The Grid . In the lawsuit, Jones also claimed Combs sexually assaulted him and groomed him for sex.

Agnifilio argued Jones hasn't made a primary claim he accused Diddy of under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) or the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA). He also said there's no basis for emotional distress or breach of oral contract. He argued the latter accusation has run the statute of limitations.

“Mr. Jones’s lawsuit is pure fiction — a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement," Combs' attorney Erica Wolff said in a statement. "There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked. We look forward to proving – in a court of law – that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.”

Diddy's lawyer also noted that Jones' attorney Tyrone Blackburn recently referred to the Grievance Committee for allegedly "engaging in a ‘pattern’ of ‘improperly fil[ing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly."

"This is clearly a billing exercise by Combs' latest set of attorneys, who are late to the game and are attempting to fill their pockets with this Hail Mary motion to dismiss before their client is indicted," Blackburn told TMZ .
