GloRilla is getting plenty of positive feedback after she decided to remove an offensive term from her upcoming song that could've caused even more backlash.

It all started after the CMG signee previewed an upcoming song on social media last week. While on Instagram Live, Big Glo debuted an unreleased banger in which she rapped, "You must not know what you started/Me and my b***h retarded." After blogs reposted the clip, some fans voiced their opinions about her using the r-word in her music in 2024. Although it wasn't used in a derogatory way, people still found the term offensive and even referred to it as a "slur."

A few days after she debuted the original snippet, GloRilla returned with another song preview. The track appeared in a video she made with her friends. Fans were quick to notice that she replaced the r-word with "go naughty," and praised her for making the change.

"The fact that you changed the R word with naughty shows you are very mature, heard the criticism and went back in the lab đŸ§Ș and changed it," one fan wrote on Instagram. "Glo for the people ‌"

"I love how you changed the R word out the song," another fan commented. "I wasn’t offended but that’s real. Very mindful
 very cutesy, very demurrrrrre."

It's clear GloRilla did not want that type of smoke. Other artists like Lizzo and Beyoncé were dragged in 2022 for using a similar term, "spaz," in their music. Lizzo used the term in her song "Grrrls" and Bey included it in her track "Heated" off her RENAISSANCE album. Both artists removed the term from their songs after they were released.

Check out the updated version of GloRilla's upcoming song below.
