Irv Gotti is on the mend after he suffered from a stroke earlier this year.

According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, August 28, the Murder Inc. Records co-founder's team confirmed he's in recovery after he had a "minor stroke" over six months ago due to complications of his diabetes. Gotti's reps released a statement about his condition a couple of days after Wack 100 revealed the news on his podcast . Wack claimed he got the intel and a photo of the music producer walking with a cane from a worker at the rehabilitation center Gotti was reportedly at.

"Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago," Gotti's rep said. "He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He's been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life."

It's not clear exactly when the photo was taken. In it, you can see a thinner Gotti walking carefully with the cane on his right side. Since it was posted, the photo has made its rounds throughout social media. 50 Cent recently discovered it and decided to weigh in with his thoughts about Gotti's health scare.

"Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?" Fif wrote in his caption. "I want Irv to get well, 🤨so he can have to watch my next wave 🌊 LOL."

Irv Gotti has been open about his battle with diabetes in the past. He touched on the subject during his interview with Drink Champs last year. Gotti claimed the disease was "deteriorating" his body and admitted that he didn't take his insulin consistently. He also explained how he struggled to switch to a healthier diet after his doctor encouraged him to do it.
