Fat Trel decided to release his brand-new project a lot earlier than expected.

On Friday, August 30, the 34-year-old artist dropped his most personal album yet, Boosa's Keeper via MGE/OneRPM. The cover of the project features a vintage photo of Trel's childhood friend Darrell "Boosa Da Shotta" Marshall, who was shot and killed in 2021. Trel honors his late friend throughout the album. He also recruited several popular names in the rap game to join him including IDK , Skilla Baby , EST Gee , Millyz and more. Fat Trel released the album's first single "Airplane Mode" featuring Millyz back in July.

"This album is dedicated to my lil brother Boosa, who passed away when I was locked up," Fat Trel said in a statement. "I put a lot of time into this album and was going through a lot while making it. I got sober and went to therapy as well. So you will hear a lot of pain and just a better version of me throughout each song. I'm introducing the world to an older, better, and evolved version of FAT TREL."

Boosa's Keeper arrived exactly one month earlier than he originally planned. He previously promoted September 30 as the release date. However, it looks like he couldn't wait a second longer to share his new body of work. His latest album serves as the follow-up to Fat Trel's 2023 project Nightmare On E Street . Since then, Trel has teamed up with other artists like Tracy T ("Right or Wrong") and Sada Baby ("Steppa").

In honor of the album's release, Fat Trel also dropped the official video for "Anything." Stream Boosa's Keeper on iHeartRadio and watch his new music video below.
