Nikki Garcia Breaks Silence On Husband Artem Chigvintsev's Arrest

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia , formerly known as Nikki Bella , broke her silence following her husband, former Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev , was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this week.

“This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time,” a rep for Garcia told Us Weekly in a statement shared on Friday (August 30).

Chigvinstev was charged with felony domestic violence on Thursday (August 29) and released on a $25,000 bond, according to online jail records. A conviction can be charged as either a misdemeanor or felony, which may result in a sentence of up to four years in state prison, as well as a maximum fine of $6,000.

Garcia and Chigvinstev share a 4-year-old son and celebrated their second wedding anniversary days before his arrest.

"Happy anniversary my love , can’t see my life with out you You are my everything ❤️," Chigvinstev wrote on an Instagram post featuring two of the couple's wedding photos.

"Happy Anniversary Click 🥹❤️‍🔥💋 Love you so much!" Garcia commented on the post.

Garcia also shared an Instagram post featuring a video celebrating the couple's anniversary, as well as a caption quoting Elvis Pressley 's song 'Just Can't Help Falling in Love.'

“This song is our love story. I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem,” Garcia wrote. “Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. Happy Anniversary @theartemc I love you!”
