Former Nebraska head football coach Scott Frost is reportedly expected to be hired by the Los Angeles Rams as a senior football analyst, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN 's Pete Thamel on Sunday (September 1).

Frost, 49, a former national champion quarterback for the Huskers, also worked as a head coach at Central Florida, which included an undefeated season in 2017, before coaching at his alma matter from 2018 to 2022.

"Sources: The LA Rams are expected to hire Scott Frost as a Senior Football Analyst. Frost was most recently the head coach at Nebraska and went 13-0 as the head coach of UCF in 2017. Frost played five seasons in the NFL as a defensive back and worked as an assistant at Oregon," Thamel wrote on his X account.

Frost went 16-31 (10-26 Big Ten) during his tenure as Nebraska's head coach, which included upset losses to Northwestern in Week 0 and Georgia State in Week 2 to start the 2022 college football season with a 1-2 record prior to his termination. The Lincoln native was a member of two of Nebraska's national championship teams (1995, 1997) and started for the Cornhuskers during the 1996 and 1997 seasons after transferring from Stanford and redshirting in 1995.
