Watch Carrie Underwood's Electrifying New 'Sunday Night Football' Show Open

Carrie Underwood delivered an electrifying performance during her 12th consecutive Sunday Night Football show open that premiered on Sunday evening (September 8), when the Detroit Lions emerged victorious against the Los Angeles Rams (26-20).

Underwood previously shared a teaser of the performance that Sunday Night Football Creative Director Tripp Dixon hailed “show-stopping...with backstage and behind the scenes energy to set the tone for this special night” The former American Idol champ and soon-to-be judge performed the show open at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, where she became the first-ever resident headliner when her residency, REFLECTION , opened at the venue in 2021. Underwood has since announced another run of shows taking place in 2025. See her upcoming residency dates below.

“Shooting the new show open is always something I look forward to, and Tripp and the whole creative team brought it yet again, and we had a great day putting on an exciting new performance,” Underwood said in a statement recently shared by her record label. “Like everybody else, I’m waiting all day for Sunday night!”
