New Details Revealed About Rich Homie Quan's Death

A new police report is shining some light on the tragic death of Rich Homie Quan .

The Atlanta Police Department released an incident report that includes new details on the rapper's sudden death last week at 34 years old. According to the report, obtained by Atlanta news station 11 Alive , the rapper's brother Andre Munford initially found him at his home "asleep on the floor by the kitchen with food in his mouth" around 3 a.m. on September 5. Noting it was "very unusual," Munford picked him up off the floor and put him on the couch, per HipHopDX .

When Quan's girlfriend Amber Williams woke up a few hours later, she saw him on the couch and believed him to be asleep. She took her kids to school and returned home where she went back to their bedroom to sleep. She woke up again around 11 a.m. and went to check on the "Ride Out" rapper where she noticed his body was cold and he didn't appear to be breathing. Williams quickly called 911 and a responding offer arrived to the home, noting that Quan didn't seem to be "alert, conscious or breathing." The officer did not suspect foul play.

Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar , was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. A cause of death has not been confirmed, but an autopsy was reportedly completed last Friday.

Following news of his death, Williams shared a heartbreaking message on social media that she would "never be the same" after the "complete nightmare" of losing her "other half."

"The pain is unbearable. The love you all have show is an over flow," she added. "I truly appreciate everyone who's reached out. I'm traumatized from a moment that'll forever be in my head. I have nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown. I had nothing to hide. Please respect me and the family at this time."
