    A 5.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in Texas on Monday (September 16), according to the United States Geological Survey .

    The earthquake was centered in Ackerly at a depth of 8.2 kilometers (about 5.1 miles). The USGS said it received 1,638 reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication Monday night.

    The Texas earthquake was reported hours after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in the Northern Mariana Islands on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake was centered in Saipan at a depth of 42.9 kilometers (about 26.7 miles).

    The Northern Mariana Islands earthquake was reported days after a 3.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in California last Friday (September 13), according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake was centered in Malibu at a depth of 10.6 kilometers (about 6.6 miles).

    A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was previously reported in Malibu last Thursday (September 12), according to the United States Geological Survey . The prior earthquake was centered at a depth of 11.6 kilometers (about 7.2 miles).

    The Malibu earthquakes struck hours after a 2.9-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake was centered in Parkfield at a depth of 8.0 kilometers (about 4.97 miles).

    The Parkfield earthquake reported two days after a 3.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in California last Tuesday (September 10), according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake was centered in Middletown at a depth of 6.2 kilometers (about 3.6 miles).

    The Middletown earthquake was reported days after a 3.5-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on September 8, according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake was centered in Ontario at a depth of 5.9 kilometers (about 3.7 miles).

    Wow is right! 😳 the technology is amazing that we cam trace back origins of previous chains of the earth quake then following its current path/trajectory to its possible next quake point.
