Sean "Diddy" Combs will remain behind bars inside a federal jail that's well-known for alleged inhumane conditions.

After a judge denied his bail on Tuesday, September 17, the Bad Boy founder was transported from a federal courthouse in Manhattan to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The federal jail has housed several celebrity inmates in the past like R. Kelly , Fetty Wap , Donald Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen, and Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. Despite its history of famous detainees, the facility doesn't compare to the lavish lifestyle Combs has been accustomed to for the past three decades of his life.

According to the Brooklyn Eagle , MDC Brooklyn has been called out by several federal judges for its cruel environment including "medical mistreatment, violence and poor conditions." There have been reports of "barbaric" instances including a 37-second stabbing incident and two murders. MDC mostly houses defendants awaiting prosecution. The facility currently holds 42 inmates who are serving their full sentences. In fact, the Bureau of Prisons recently confirmed that the jail stopped accepting new inmates serving full sentences.

Combs will remain at the facility for now. However, he's expected back in court this afternoon to appeal the judge's ruling on his bail. Before his first court appearance, the music mogul had offered $50 million in collateral between his and his mother's Miami homes. He also said he would be willing to wear a GPS monitor and limit his travel to Florida, New York and New Jersey. He also offered up passports for himself and his family.

Diddy was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping. If convicted, he could face a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison.
