Lana Del Rey's Husband's Ex-Fiancèe Shares True Feelings On 'Shock' Wedding

Lana Del Rey married alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene on Thursday (September 26) during an intimate ceremony by the water in Dufrene's home town of Des Allemandes, Louisiana.

According to The Daily Mail , the swamp boat captain was engaged to a woman named Kelli Welsh for 12 years before the pair ended their relationship in October 2023, and went on to wed the "Summertime Sadness" super star less than a year after their breakup.

Welsh recently spoke to the outlet about the shock she felt when she found out her ex had not only been married, but to world-renowned songstress, Lana Del Rey.

"I am in shock because we were engaged for 12 years, and he got married after one month. But I am happy for him. He is a very protective, hardworking, manly man. He needed to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to bayou life and being out on the swamp. He is deserving of this blessing."

The Daily Mail mentioned that Dufrene and Welsh first started dating when they were teens and broke up after a year. Dufrene went on to marry his now ex-wife, Gina , and the pair welcomed three children into the world. Dufrene also raised Welsh's daughter, Alana , 20, as his own after the former couple rekindled their relationship following his divorce.

Dufrene's ex-fiancèe ultimately revealed that she is happy for him, and that she can tell he truly loves the "Young and Beautiful" hitmaker.

"I will say that he really does look happy with her,’ she said. ‘And she does with him which is a good thing to see. It's not a fake happy – he truly is in love with her. He has always been a giver so to have someone give to him, he deserves it. He is a very solid guy. I care about him deeply as a friend. His ability to love and care and protect people makes him so attractive."

Lana Del Rey (born Elizabeth Grant ) first met the alligator tour guide on a swamp boat tour in 2019 when she was in town for a music festival. The pair hard-launched their relationship on August 25, 2024, during a romantic meal in London where they were seen holding hands, and went on to attend Karen Elson 's wedding together aside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in September.
