Cardi B Reveals The Truth About How She Found Out She Was Pregnant

Cardi B has revealed exactly how she found out she was pregnant with her third child .

On Sunday night, September 29, the Grammy award-winner hopped on Instagram Live and opened up about the moment she discovered she was carrying her new baby girl. She explained that she woke up with a copper taste in her mouth, and realized that the only time that happened to her was when she was pregnant with her son Wave. She also confirmed that she was "on very bad terms" with the child's father Offset , who was also caught off guard.

“This is around the time that I’m promoting, promoting, promoting the f**k out of ‘Enough,’” she explained. “So I’m like damn, I’m pregnant. But I’m not really thinking much of it. Me and my baby dad — we were on very bad terms. I still called him I was like 'Hey, I'm pregnant' and we kind of laughed about it because it was like, ‘What the f**k? That s**t is so random.’"

Cardi explained that she only had sex twice in 2024 so she believed that she was only a few weeks pregnant. However, the rapper's OBGYN did a sonogram and told her she was actually four months pregnant. The news came as a shock because she was cleared to get cosmetic surgery in Colombia after she took a pregnancy test that came out negative. Cardi said she was nervous about the child's health after she found out about her pregnancy. However, her baby didn't experience any issues due to the surgery.

The Bronx native didn't reveal her pregnancy until August. She confirmed the rumors about her incoming child on the same day news broke about her divorce from Offset .
