BlocBoy JB was arrested on various charges this week after police discovered him asleep at the wheel while he was stopped at an intersection.

According to a report WREG 3 published on Tuesday, October 1, the "Look Alive" rapper was knocked out with his foot on the brake and a gun in his lap when the Tennessee Highway Patrol strolled up to his SUV. Police said he allegedly had drugs in his car at the time. He was charged with several offenses including including possession of marijuana, being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon, driving with a revoked license and obstruction of a highway.

"Yo Favorite Rapper Got Caught Wit Ah 3.5 Cocaine He For Sure Not Selling Stop Prankin I'm Scared Of Drugs Fr I Got Caught With Weed That's Not Ah F*ccin Drug Sleep Just Beat My Ass At Da Red Light Dats All Chill Out Wit Dat Drug S**t I'm Big On D.A.R.E.," BlocBoy JB wrote in an Instagram Story this week.

Police approached BlocBoy JB's car after he blocked the flow of traffic at the intersection of North Germantown Parkway and Chickering Lane for two full signal cycles. The "Shoot" artist allegedly had a loaded Glock and a bag of marijuana in his lap while stopped at the traffic light. He was also driving with a suspended driver's license. He reportedly had his license revoked following a DUI.

BlocBoy JB, born James Lee Baker, has had a couple of run-ins with police over the years. In 2019, the 28-year-old artist was arrested for one felony charge of being a felon in possession of a handgun, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug possession. He was apprehended just hours before he was scheduled to hit the stage at the Beale Street Music Festival.

The rapper was booked at a nearby jail and later released on a $7,500 bond.
