The pop punk nostalgia fest When We Were Young is set to go down next weekend (October 19-20) in Las Vegas and one of the biggest bands on the bill just announced they're no longer playing. On Friday (October 11), The All-American Rejects shared a lengthy message on social media about why WWWY made it "impossible for us to continue," ultimately leading to them dropping out of the festival.

"It is with deep sadness and disappointment that we have to announce that we will not longer be playing When We Were Young Festival next weekend," the statement begins. "We have spent months tirelessly preparing a once in a lifetime show that we were so excited to bring to you. However, there has been a management change within the WWWY operation, and they are no longer able to accommodate us in the previously agreed upon line-up, which has made it impossible for us to continue."

AAR continued their message with an apology to fans who bought tickets or traveled specifically to see them and their crew. "We are especially devastated to not get to play for those of you who are traveling across the globe to witness the visual and sonic spectacle we have been brewing up in our cauldron," they wrote. "We'd like to apologize to our amazing crew who have been working around the clock to make magic happen."

AAR recently dropped a cover of Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta." Their last full-length album was 2012's Kids in the Street . Read their full statement below.
