The episode zooms in on the transformative nature of her singles including "The Roof," "Fly Like A Bird," and other timeless tracks. The "All I Want For Christmas Is You" icon released her last album, Caution , six years ago and is currently in the process of writing new music.

"I am writing now, but the more I talk about new music, and that I'm doing this and it's finally coming out and whatever...a year or two years...everybody gets mad at me because they're like 'why are you telling us this and it doesn't come out in a year' and.. you know what I mean?"

Despite pushing the release date back to give her creative genius time to cultivate another series of hits that will undeniably alter pop culture forever, the GRAMMY-winning hitmaker assured that 2025 will be the year she shares new tunes with the world. Speaking on the creative writing process, Carey candidly unveiled that she came up with "one of the most famous hooks of all time" on her way to the bathroom.

"It kind of just happened," the lyrical legend said of 1993's "Hero."

As for what inspired the "Emotions" artist to start making music in the first place, Carey attributed her star persona to three famous influences that impacted her outlook on the entertainment industry from a very young age.

"I would have to say looking at from the time I was little little, Micheal Jackson when he was a kid...And also Prince . I love Prince and it's so sad that he's no longer with us. I still listen to Prince all the time. I would say like.. Little Red Corvette."

The star also shared that she looked up to Marilyn Monroe as a child after watching a few of the actresses' movies with her mother.
