The award-winning Beautifully Broken star applauded his wife’s patience with him, which he said he doesn’t deserve. Jelly Roll also said Bunnie “cheers for me,” while he’s spending hundreds of days on the road for his career as an artist. The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Artist award in both Pop and Country categories told author and podcast host Jay Shetty :
“Her patience with me, Jay. Man, I don’t deserve that. I didn’t earn that patience. That’s just grace. She just gave that to me because she loves me. And she lets me be the wild horse I still am. That’s something else. Every other woman still tried to tame this old wild mustang. I gotta run. You know what I’m saying? I am programmed to go, Jay. Two or 300 days a year, I’m out of the house. It’s just how I operate, you know? She’s the opposite. She’s a homebody, prefers to be home. But she cheers for me, man. So, yeah, that’s my best friend.”
Jelly Roll and Bunnie first met in 2015, and Bunnie said she was “so drawn to him.” The following year, they shared their first kiss when Jelly Roll traveled to Las Vegas to film a music video and made plans to meet up with his now-wife. Jelly Roll popped the question during a concert, and the couple got married in a spontaneous courthouse wedding in 2016. Bunnie took a “cute little stroll down memory lane,” and reminisced on her relationship with the award-winning artist lat month.
