Thomas Rhett Shares Sweet Anniversary Tributes To Wife Lauren Akins

Thomas Rhett shared glimpses of the trip he recently took with his wife, Lauren Akins , as they celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary.

Rhett said he and Akins had the “best anniversary trip,” as he shared a reel on Instagram set to “Beautiful As You,” from his seventh studio album, About A Woman . Rhett released the 14-track record in August, serving as a tribute to his wife. The country star married Akins on October 12, 2012, in an outdoor wedding in Nashville, Tennessee. They met in elementary school, dated briefly in high school and remained friends when they split up. They rekindled their relationship a few years later, and after six months, Rhett popped the question. Now, they share four young daughters together: Willa Gray (nearly 9), Ada James , (7), Lennon Love (4) and Lillie Carolina (nearly 3).

Rhett wrote in an anniversary tribute on Saturday (October 12): “12 years ago today I got to marry my best friend. [Lauren Akins] can you believe that?! I thank God everyday that you said yes to marrying me. You are the most beautiful, loving, giving, thoughtful, most selfless human being I know. You love me and our babies so well. You continue to amaze and inspire me to be a better version of myself everyday. I’m truly so blessed. I love you so much babe. Happy golden anniversary!”
