The 'Heartbreaking' Message Liam Payne's Fans Noticed In His Final Song

Following the tragic news of Liam Payne 's passing, fans have taken to social media to share their tributes and mourn the former One Direction singer, and some of them have picked up on the heartbreaking message in Payne's final song.

Earlier this year, Liam shared his single "Teardrops," the last song he ever released, and on social media, he explained of the track, "This song is born from many tears, not all mine. I hope you love it like I do and not too many of you can relate."

In the song, Payne sings heartbreaking lyrics, "Teardrops are falling/ Down your face again, 'cause I/ Don't know how to love you when/ I am broken too" and "Checking all my friends, tryna to see what I did last night/ Lately, I'm hating on myself 'cause I hate it when I make you cry."

According to Mirror , one fan noticed, "Liam Payne's recent lyrics, 'Teardrops are falling, Down your face again, cause I Don't know how to love you when! I am broken too' hit particularly hard. It's heartbreaking to think he was only 31!" And another fan wrote, "The last song Liam Payne released. Singing about being a broken man. Teardrops definitely fell on my face today..."

Liam passed away following a fall of his hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Although no official cause of death has been revealed, authorities say that "he had a fracture at the base of the skull, a very serious injury."

Payne was just 31 years old, and is survived by his son Bear, whom he shares with ex Cheryl.
