When a company like a retail chain declares bankruptcy, it doesn't mean it is gone for good, but when they close all their stores as well, it's unlikely you'll ever be shopping there again. However, one retail giant that recently shuttered all stores is defying the odds and returning to physical stores. Bed Bath & Beyond, which last year declared bankruptcy and shuttered all stores after 50 years of business, is coming back.

Bed Bath & Beyond never totally went away. During their bankruptcy, Overstock acquired the company for $21.5 million, but the deal didn't include the brand's hundreds of stores. Leaning into their new role as a Bed Bath & Beyond online retailer, Overstock changed their company's name to Beyond Inc. Well Beyond Inc. just made a deal with a longtime competitor of Bed Bath & Beyond - The Container Store . As part of the deal, The Container Store will sell Bed Bath & Beyond products in 102 of their locations.

A statement from the brands explained they have high hopes about the collaboration saying, "The companies intend for the partnership to position The Container Store to return to profitable comparable store growth over time by utilizing and benefitting from Beyond’s intellectual property, customer data, network of brands, and affiliate relationships."

Expect to see Bed Bath & Beyond merchandise at Container Stores in the coming weeks.
