Lipman 5K Raises Funds for Backpack Giveaway

In early April, families, serious runners and weekend joggers converged at Annunciation Circle for the Lipman 5K Run for Backpacks. The event served a noble cause, with all proceeds dedicated to purchasing backpacks, bicycles, shoes and other school supplies for Lipman’s Annual Backpack Giveaway in Immokalee, celebrating its 14th year. Participants reveled in the picturesque 5K course encircling the lakes at Ave Maria, while others embraced the 1 Mile walking course. Children aged 10 and under delighted in the free Junior Fun Run. Every race registrant took home a commemorative long-sleeved shirt, and winners in various age categories proudly received trophies.
