New restaurant celebrates the flavors of the southwest desert
El Centro is about to welcome an exciting addition to its culinary scene with the opening of Ursa, a new restaurant at 612 W. Main Street. Ursa is set to open its doors Friday, July 26, promising a unique dining experience that pays homage to the ingredients, people, techniques, and traditions of the Southwest Desert.

CALEXICO — The Imperial Valley Arts and Health campaign has emerged as a significant initiative for promoting well-being and recovery within the local community through art. A successful art exhibit was held Friday, June 28, at Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center. Supported by the California Arts Council and the Conrad Prebys Foundation, the event drew 98 attendees to its opening, who were pleasantly surprised by the exhibit's impact and the quality of the displayed artwork.
