Sister Wives star Christine Brown called ex-husband Kody Brown a “deadbeat dad” amid their child support lawsuit.

While appearing on Radio Andy alongside Janelle Brown, Christine, 52, was asked to list three words to describe Kody, 55. “Deadbeat dad … Sorry, that’s two, but that can be two,” she said. “Deadbeat dad and … oblivious.”

Janelle, 55, then said that she would describe Kody as “charismatic,” though Christine said she was “too mad” at him to share a compliment.

“I guess I’m sort of over it,” Janelle – who left Kody in December 2022 – responded before continuing to answer the question. “He’s charismatic. I do think he is selfish, I do, and I do think oblivious is probably good. Like, he seems to be sort of like, I don’t know, the reality is bewildering to him.”

Christine slammed Kody one month after she sued him for child support and custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Truely Brown. In the September 16 filing, the mother of six asked the court to establish paternity of Truely because Kody isn’t currently named on her birth certificate.

Additionally, she requested a domestic relations injunction that stops both her and Kody from harassment, domestic violence, canceling or modifying services, taking the children for nonroutine travel without court orders or permission and demeaning or disparaging the other party.

Christine’s request also prevents both parties from engaging in specific behaviors, financial matters and other activities.

After Christine filed the lawsuit, In Touch exclusively revealed that Kody and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, took their house off the market without selling it. The couple previously listed the property for $1,650,000 on August 29.

Following Christine and Kody’s split in November 2021, she and Truely moved from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Utah. Just under one year later, an insider exclusively told In Touch that Kody wasn’t present in the teenager’s life and Christine had been forced to “accommodate” him.

“He’s still paranoid about COVID and everything else,” the source said at the time. “So, if Christine is not choosing to do the transporting and making it happen — nor would she put Truely through any of this stress — then Kody won’t have a relationship with Truely. He would have to leave his nest to see his daughter.”

While Christine still has her issues with Kody, she has since found happiness with her current husband, David Woolley. The pair tied the knot in October 2023, and she recently celebrated their wedding anniversary in a sweet Instagram post.

“Happy Anniversary. Gosh, I love you. It’s been incredible to have you as my partner,” she captioned several photos from their relationship. “I feel so blessed to be married to you and I look forward to the rest of our lives together.”

Shortly after Christine shared the tribute, several fans took to the comments section to gush about how cute she and David, 60, are. “The love you deserved all along! It’s so uplifting to know you have each other to live life with in love and adventure!!! You shine Christine!!!” one person commented. Another chimed in, “Happy Anniversary! You both deserve peace, joy, love and happiness.”
