Who Is Maya Henry?

Maya is the daughter of Texas-based personal-injury lawyer Thomas J. Henry . She rose to fame as a model, having been on the cover of international editions of Elle , Harper’s Bazaar , Vogue and Glamour and walked during Paris Fashion Week. Maya is also an internet personality known for her appearances on YouTube, including in her family’s Kardashians -style reality series, Hangin’ With Los Henrys .

In May 2024, Maya published a novel called Looking Forward , inspired by her life.

When Did Maya Henry and Liam Payne Date?

Maya began dating Liam in 2019, and they became engaged in August 2020. However, the couple called it quits for the first time in June 2021, with the former boy band member confirming that he was “single” on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast.

What Allegations Did Maya Henry Make Against Liam Payne?

In her book, Maya wrote about fictional character Mallory getting an abortion after being forced to choose between having a baby or staying with her boyfriend. Though Maya did not directly say that the storyline was a recreation of what happened between her and Liam, she did say that the book took inspiration from her life, which includes their relationship and an abortion.

“What I went through in real life is very similar to what Mallory went through in the book. I definitely did have some complications, and I did have to go to the hospital alone,” she explained to People . “It was very lonely, having these men tell you, ‘Oh, it’s going to feel like a heavy period, it’s not going to be that painful, it’s going to be easy.’ But I’m like, you’ve never even gone through anything like [this], so how would you know to tell me? That’s why I wanted to include it in the book, because I’ve seen so many people online talk about taking the abortion pill and it was the most painful thing for them. It’s just mind-boggling to me that you could tell a woman how they’re going to feel.”

She continued, “If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it. But then also, if I were to have made a different decision, then I would’ve lost the person that I loved. There were definitely difficult conversations about it. But looking back now, things happen for a reason.”

In October 2024, Maya asked lawyers to send a cease and desist letter to her ex-fiancé and accused him of obsessively contacting her friends and family, including mom Azteca Henry , Daily Mail reported.

“Maya Henry issued a cease and desist last week to Liam Payne following the emergence of new and concerning information,” lawyers told the outlet on October 14, 2024. “She has retained attorneys Marco Crawford and Daniel Cerna to represent her. At this time, that is her only comment on the matter.”

The letter came after Maya accused Liam of harassing her in a TikTok video earlier in the month.

“Ever since we broke up, he messages me, blows up my phone … always from different phone numbers,” she claimed in the video. “He’ll create new iCloud accounts to message me. He’s the one that is constantly doing weird shit. He says that he preys on One Direction fans because they will always be loyal to him and they won’t tell on him.”
