Chick-fil-A Made Me Sad

I never was a fast food fan and I don't expect to become a huge fan at this point in life. When I cook, I almost always have leftovers and my kind of fast food would be home cooked left overs. However, I do like to try new places every now and then and this time, it just so happened to be Chick-fil-A on Marketplace Dr in Henrietta, NY.

Last year, I had a taste of Chick-fil-A for the first time. Did I enjoy it? Yes, however I did think it was a little overrated! Actually, the only reason why I tried it in the first place was because I wanted to be able to say that I had. Another reason why I had the urge was because every time I drove by Chick-fil-A in Henrietta, NY, the line is always crazy long! My thoughts were that there has to be something special about the food at Chick-fil-A.

First Impressions

My first impression was: "WOW, this place has 2 lanes!" They even had a two people walking to the cars in line after the order was placed. One employee took cards for payment and the other delivered the food out. This made the process go much quicker. As far as employee interaction, I really didn't have a chance to find out if it was good or bad service. To me, I'd say the very few words that we exchanged were friendly. I guess customer service isn't the most important factor at a fast food place because you want to be out of there as quick as possible, hence "fast food."

My order

When placing my order, I wanted whatever was classic. I didn't want to go to Chick-fil-A just to order a grilled chicken sandwich. I wanted the real deal so ordered a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwhich, an order of waffle fries, and a side of the Chick-fil-A sauce. My husband ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwhich so I was lucky to also taste test that!

If I had to rate this meal from 1-10, I would give it an 7.5. I think it was tasty. The waffles were great, the chicken was thick and crispy, and I was also a fan of the sauce. The sauce tasted slightly like honey mustard with a hint of BBQ. Although I'm not sure what it was exactly, I can say that it did taste a little sweet, but overall, a great flavor.

Is Chick-fil-A Overrated?

So now, that I have finally tried this and thought that it was tasty, I don't think that I can say I would wait in line for that long just for Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. Am I missing something? Should I have ordered something else or do other people also think that Chick-fil-A is overrated? I would love to hear what people have to say about this!

My Second Time at Chick-fil-A Made Me Sad.

So yes, I did go to Chick-fil-A a second time after about a year after and unfortunately it did not go as good as the first time. I'm guessing the location was having a bad day and I had a major craving and the odds were not in my favor!

The reason was because they were all out of Chick-fil-A sauce and the fries were super cold and not salty at all. I know I know I have to cut them some slack but after looking forward to it for a week, the two things that I was looking forward to, sauce and fries, both failed me!
