Firefighters contain another fire about six miles west of the Clarkston Height
CLARKSTON - Fire crews were dispatched just before 2 PM Saturday to Peola Road for a wildland fire. When crews arrived they found fire burning in stuble and standing wheat. Firefighters from Asotin County Fire District #1, City of Clarkston Fire, City of Asotin Fire, and Washington Department of Natural Resources all responded. Firefighters were able to get around the perimeter of the fire rapidly and then spent about 2 hours mopping up hot spots.
