WENATCHEE, Wash. – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has issued evacuation orders for areas near the Beehive Fire west of Wenatchee. According to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, a Level 3 fire evacuation order has been issued for the following areas: Squilchuck Road south of Wenatchee Heights, Halverson Canyon, Hampton Road, Forest Ridge Road and side streets, all of Mission Ridge Road, Liberty Beehive Road, Mission Ridge Resort and Squilchuck State Park.

Washington man sent to prison after selling meth at Montana Indian Reservation
BILLINGS — A Washington man was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges in southern Montana. 40-year-old Daniel Jiminez-Chavez, aka Raton, of Okanogan, Washington went to the Crow Indian Reservation to distribute methamphetamine in what the Department of Justice (DOJ) said was a large-scale drug trafficking conspiracy. According to the DOJ, Jiminez-Chavez was among the top tier of the conspiracy and went to Lodge Grass, on the Crow Indian Reservation, from Washington in February 2023 to distribute drugs and act as a caretaker to a home there.
