Police reports 7/13/24
Thursday, 7 p.m., Dennis P. Kranock, 43, of Franklinville, was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, class A misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Cuba Police Department. Kranock was transported to Allegiant County Jail and held pending further court proceedings.
Cuba First Baptist serves area children
CUBA — The First Baptist Church of Cuba will again be sponsoring two annual events geared to the children of the area. Vacation Bible school will kick off their week-long program on Aug. 12. From 9 a.m. until noon, Monday through Friday, children entering Kindergarten through grade 6 will climb Everest! As they learn to conquer challenges with God’s mighty power, they will also sing, do crafts, play games, explore some science, hear some stories and basically have a terrific time.

More Weapons Charges for Accused Wellsville Shooter
The Penndel, PA man accused of shooting someone at a party in Wellsville faces further weapons charges. According to New York State Police, 54-year-old Gregory S Miller was charged Wednesday afternoon with felony possession of an assault rifle and ammo clip, and with misdemeanor weapon possession. Miller had already been charged with attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment, among other charges, in relation to the shooting which allegedly took place on July 3.

Frederick E. “Fred” Dannheim, 86, Wellsville
Frederick E. “Fred” Dannheim, 86, was called home on Wednesday (July 10, 2024) at Wellsville Manor Care in Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Mr. Dannheim was born on November 19, 1938 in Wellsville to Edward and Beatrice (Ellsworth) Dannheim. He was the stepson of Walter Babbit. Fred was a 1959 graduate of Wellsville Central School. He served in the United States Army for four years before joining the United States Air Force for an additional four years. Later, he served in the United States Army Reserves where he retired after 24 years. While serving in the reserves, Fred also worked at Dresser Rand as a tool dresser, retiring after more than 40 years. On July 4, 1973, he married the love of his life, Sally “Sara” Anne Reisman Case, who survives.
