Passenger killed in rollover crash identified
A passenger who was killed during a rollover crash in Steuben County has been identified. On July 3, at approximately 4:55 p.m., New York State Police in Bath responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 371 near State Route 21 in the town of Cohocton. A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Lukas J. Ellsessor, 31, of Angelica, NY, was traveling north on State Route 371 when it passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone, according to troopers. Ellsessor lost control of the vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway and roll over, troopers said.
Wellsville man killed, ATV driver injured in crash on county Road 38 in Alma
A Wellsville man was killed on the Fourth of July in an all terrain vehicle crash in Allegany County. Amity-based New York State Police said Zachary J. Barnett, 25, was a passenger on an ATV driven by Jesse M. Bestine, 26, of Wellsville, when the eastbound ATV swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle on county Road 38 in Alma at about 10 p.m.

GENESEE TWP., Mich. (WNEM) - The Genesee Township Police Department said a woman with Alzheimer’s who was reported missing has been found safe. The 76-year-old woman was reported missing by police Friday morning, after they said she walked away from her residence on Genesee Road on Thursday, July 4.

After gaining a Dollar Tree in January, Bolivar Road in Wellsville is now slated to lose a Family Dollar store later this month. The Family Dollar store at 460 Bolivar Rd. in the Wellsville Shopping Center will close July 20. "Store closing" signs are now draped across the store's front windows, and an inventory liquidation sale is underway.
