Chief Murray: “The officers, acting as a team, and ignoring risk to themselves…..”. Don’t miss these two exciting programs in early July. Fromt the Cuba Public Library, pictured is Perry Ground. Come to the Cuba Library on Wednesday, July 3 at 10 a.m. as Mike and Roberta Straka present the Dinosaur Adventure Show. They will explain how they became interested in science and in the work of a scientist. The presentation will feature Mr. Nixon, an eight-foot Triceratops skull discovered by the team in 1996 and examine the characteristics of this dinosaur. Audience members will experience the thrill of digging up a real Triceratops dinosaur bone and then help construct a dinosaur on a large cut-out. Audience participation, a touch of magic, and show and tell with rare fossils will round out this fun, education, and exciting adventure! As an added attraction, Mike and Roberta will set up a mini-museum, showcasing photos and minerals from their summer digs in South Dakota!
