Wellsville Man Charged with Murder in Steuben County
WOODHULL, NY (WENY) -- A man from Allegany county is in the Steuben County jail, charged with murder after a man was shot to death Saturday morning. The Steuben County Sheriff's Office arrested 24-year-old Bradly Maddalena of Wellsville Saturday, and charged him with second degree murder. According to authorities, Steuben County 911 received a call around 8:45AM Saturday morning, where the caller said they had been in an alternation with another person in Woodhull, and the caller had fatally shot the man.

Town of Scio Public Hearing set for July 10 at 530pm

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Scio, Allegany County, New York, will meet at the Town Hall, in Scio, New York, in said Town, on July 10, 2024, at 5:30 o’clock Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a certain map, plan and report including an amended estimate of cost prepared in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of the Scio Water District in the Town of Scio, Allegany County, New York, being the replacement of the water storage tank and reconstruction of water mains and related facilities, including original furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus, appurtenances, and incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith. The new maximum estimated cost of the aforesaid increase and improvement of the facilities of the Scio Water District in the Town is $2,850,000, consisting of an increase of $300,000. Said capital project has been determined to be a “Type I Action”, pursuant to the regulations of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation promulgated pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), the implementation of which as proposed, it has been determined, as such, will not result in any significant environmental adverse impact. SEQRA compliance materials are on file in the office of the Town Clerk where they may be inspected during regular office hours. At said public hearing said Town Board will hear all persons interested in the subject matter thereof. A Wellsville man who lives on County Road 18 is in the Steuben County Jail today without bail on charges of second-degree murder. Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard said on Saturday, deputies charged Bradly J. Maddalena, 24, of 1771 County Road 18b, Wellsville for the murder of Wayne E. Mosher, 57, of County Route 101, Woodhull.

A Wellsville man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a Woodhull man over the weekend. Bradly J. Maddalena, 24, of County Road 18 in Wellsville was arrested Saturday, according to Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard, and charged with murdering Wayne E. Mosher, 57, of County Route 101 in Woodhull.

OLEAN — Rusty Nuhfer, group leader for Cutco Cutlery Corp., is celebrating 25 years of service with the company this week. Nuhfer joined Cutco on June 28, 1999, as a machine polisher. Since that time he has held positions as a CNC operator, auto handle polisher, shear operator, ultrasonic cleaning systems operator, packing clerk, transfer polish machine operator, wiper, cutler special products, wood shop operator, shear finisher, flatware operator, handle polish machine operator, stock clerk and cleaning line operator.
