Man Arrested After Officer Involved Shooting in Eau Claire Appears in Eau Claire County Court
(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A man who was arrested in an officer-involved shooting in Eau Claire appeared in court. According to WEAU Staff, 53-year-old Thomas Burback is charged with pointing a firearm at an officer, failing to comply with an officer and other charges. Eau Claire police say Officer Down Larson confronted Burback after responding to a report of a disturbance.
Two Arrested After Striking a Pedestrian in Eau Claire
On Saturday, August 10th around 5:05PM, the Eau Claire Communications Center received a 911 call of a hit and run to a pedestrian at Menards on Hastings Way in Eau Claire. The caller provided the license plate of the striking vehicle. Altoona Police entered the car into the City’s License Plate Reader system. Minutes later the system alerted Officers that the car was traveling west on Highway 12.
