    Desis On The Ballot: Sridhar Verose, City Of San Ramon Council, District 3

    Who is Sridhar Verose?

    A resident of San Ramon for the last 18 years, Councilmember Verose and his public service as a civic volunteer with various community organizations. In 2016, he joined the San Ramon Parks and Community Services Commission and became its Chairman in 2020. In the same year, he was elected to the San Ramon City Council in 2020. In 2022, he served as the city’s vice mayor for a year.

    Verose graduated with a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University. He has worked in Information Technology for the past twenty-five years and is currently a Director for Cloud Operations at a software company.

    This November, Council Member Verose is seeking reelection from District 3 without any contestant opposing him.

    His top priority is public safety

    As reported in Danville-San Ramon news, public safety is Verose’s top priority, having worked to secure $5.6 million in state funding to fight organized retail theft last year.

    Measure N the most contentious issue in San Ramon

    Currently, the most contentious of issues before the candidates and citizens of San Ramon are the city’s financial struggles and the increasing budget deficit of $17.6 million. Measure N on the ballot proposes a 1% sales tax increase to cover some of the deficit over a period of 10 years, and pay for housing development and public safety initiatives among others.
