FCPD identifies victims in fatal Lorton, Great Falls pedestrian crashes
Alcohol and drugs may have played roles in separate vehicle crashes that killed two pedestrians in Fairfax County this past Saturday (July 20), police say. Yesterday (Sunday), the Fairfax County Police Department identified Giomarie Davila-Ocasio, a 26-year-old Reston resident, as the woman who died after being hit by a driver in the Great Falls area of Route 7 (Leesburg Pike). The department also announced that a teen was arrested in connection with a fatal crash in Lorton.

Investigation Reveals Motorcycle Speeding At 164 MPH Before Fatal Crash In Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, Md. – To highlight the deadly consequences of speeding, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the investigative findings of the fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe that occurred on April 7, 2024, in Hollywood, MD. WASHINGTON (7News) — Much-needed wet weather will overspread parts of the DMV though Monday evening. While the severe weather risk remains low, First Alert Weather is on Storm Alert for isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds. The greatest risk is southern Maryland and the Northern Neck. New ‘ALX Closet’ opens to provide emergency resources to Alexandria families in need

No charges after crowbar attack and stabbing puts Alexandria brothers in hospital
No charges have been filed against two Alexandria brothers who were hospitalized with serious injuries after a fight in the West End earlier this month. The Alexandria Police Department responded to a stabbing call for service at an apartment in the 500 block of N. Armistead Street on Sunday, July 7. Police arrived and found the brothers on the floor of the apartment, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.
