CINCINNATI (WKRC) - One of the Tri-State's largest energy providers is making its power grid "smarter." Duke Energy gave us an inside tour of one of its control centers. It's working on new technology to make your power more reliable during storms. Duke Energy's advanced technology can tell when a tree falls and knocks out power even before it makes a sound. Crews still have to go out to fix the line itself but it has "self-healing" capabilities to shorten a repair from hours to minutes.
