Rinker Materials veteran leads CM Checkoff Design Assistance program
Sources: Concrete Masonry Checkoff Board, Denver; CP staff. The Concrete Masonry Checkoff has named Riley Dvorak as national design technical director. He is tasked with spearheading CMC’s visionary Design Assistance program, a virtual destination where architects and engineers can access complimentary concrete masonry design services. Dvorak’s first order of business will be helping to appoint regional directors across five U.S. regions; together, they will collaborate to sculpt a cohesive strategy and define the design center’s operational goals.

Denver residents are increasingly anxious about the cost of living. They worry about affording food, shelter, and health care and whether they have a future in Colorado. More than 70 percent of Denverites fear they can’t afford to stay in Colorado. As for their kids? Nine in ten parents think their children won’t be able to afford life in the state.

Man and officer injured in shootout in Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo — A Fort Collins Police officer and another person were injured in an exchange of gunfire at a cemetery Sunday, the police department said. Police said around 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle rollover at the intersection of Bryan Avenue and Mountain Avenue, near City Park. Police said "the driver exited the vehicle with a firearm and exchanged gunfire with officers, then ran toward Grandview Cemetery."
