Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Ma Ma's Korean Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was quite memorable. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, and everything we tried was delightful. From the mackerel and grilled snapper to the scallion pancake and spicy squid, each dish was generously portioned and packed with flavor. The sweet and spicy fried chicken wings, though not entirely authentic with their tomato-based sauce, were a standout, and the shortrib and pork belly were simply divine. The side dishes were plentiful and tasty, adding great value to the meal.
However, it wasn't all perfect. There was a bit of confusion regarding the refill policy on side dishes. Despite the menu stating refills were free, I was unexpectedly charged for an extra serving of white rice, which was a bit disappointing. Service was a mixed bag; while generally okay, there were moments of delay, particularly with my daughter's meal which arrived much later than the rest.
Despite these hiccups, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was quite welcoming. The staff might not seem overly friendly at first glance, but they are pleasant and accommodating in their own way. If you're in the mood for some hearty Korean cuisine with ample portions, Ma Ma's Korean Restaurant is worth a visit. Just be mindful of the side dish refill policy!
