Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Root & Bone in Indianapolis, and it was nothing short of a culinary delight. The atmosphere is trendy with an industrial-chic vibe, perfect for a vibrant dining experience. Starting off with the Drunken Deviled Eggs, I was immediately impressed by their visual appeal and rich flavor. The Fried Chicken Brined in Sweet Tea was the star of the show, easily the best fried chicken I've ever had, with a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. The Barbecue Brûléed Spare Ribs were another highlight, offering a smoky, succulent taste that melted in my mouth.
The service was attentive and professional, enhancing the dining experience with great food recommendations. Although the Gooey Sweet Corn Soufflé didn’t quite hit the mark, lacking the expected sweetness and gooey texture, the overall meal was exquisite. The shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles with spicy honey, were also standout dishes that my fellow diners raved about.
Root & Bone is definitely a gem in Indianapolis, ideal for a memorable meal whether you're out for a special occasion or just a casual meet-up. The combination of delicious food, great service, and a cool ambiance makes it a must-visit spot. Don’t forget to make reservations or grab a seat at the bar if you're dropping by spontaneously!
