Yesterday was the third time this year that an ad stating Chelsea Clinton lives in a beautiful Virginia home popped up on my laptop. My computer did not warn me this was a dangerous site, so this time, I clicked on the link.

We recently compiled a list of the 21 Colleges With the Unhappiest Students and in this article we will discuss the college that topped our list. According to the 2024 World Happiness Report developed by the University of Oxford’s Wellbeing Research Center, the USA ranks in the 23rd spot with a 6.725 score. This marks the first year since the report’s first edition in 2012 that the USA did not rank among the top 20 happiest countries in the world. It dropped from the 15th spot to the 23rd between 2023 and 2024 alone. The happiness ranking is especially concerning for younger generated (aged 30 or under). The report ranks the USA in the 62nd spot with a score of 6.392, while the country ranks in the 10th spot for the ranking of happiness in older adults (aged 60 and above). The drastic disparity between the happiness levels of the two segments of the country’s population points to worsening estimates for the young population, a significant majority of which are students.

Aurora’s pallet shelters for people experiencing homelessness, which only allow a maximum 30-day stay, have been cycling the same individuals in and out, city staff told council members Thursday. Many return to street encampments when their time in the pallet shelter runs out, Jessica Prosser, homeless services director for the city, said. Then, the city sweeps the encampment again, and they get to come back to the shelter for another 30 days, Prosser explained. This process can repeat multiple times.

CALIFORNIA – Starting July 1, landlords will only be allowed to collect one month’s rent for the security deposit on a rental property. Assembly Bill 12, signed into law last October, says regardless of whether the residential property is unfurnished or furnished, only one month’s rent can be charged in addition to any rent for the first month paid on or before initial occupancy.

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the law on Monday.
