Ex-NFL player and alleged child beater's bizarre YouTube clips posted from inside 'religious camp'

Former Indianapolis Colts player , and alleged child abuser, Daniel Muir posted deeply religious content onto his Youtube channel weeks before cops raided his "religious camp."

Muir appears to have been running his channel, Straitway Indiana-Goshen, for around six years now. The content varies from rambling car vlogs to random gospel music to "behind the scene" glimpses of the ex football star building some sort of religious camp. He often refers to himself as the pastor before spouting random e vangelical mumbo jumbo without really offering context.

In one strange video titled "working pastor," a man behind the camera asks Muir whether he gets upset when internet users tell him he's not a real pastor. The ex football star is seen using a hoe to landscape a big patch of dirt that will soon harbor crops.

"Nope," he replied wiping sweat from his glistening head. "At the end of the day, we grinding," referring to the labor he's exerting for his faith-based camp. He swats claims that he's not a working pastor by pointing to his land, which he said will soon be growing corn, watermelon, cabbage peppers and more vegetables.

The videos possess a very dark overtone since Muir was arrested this week after Indiana State Police found the "pastor's" 14-year-old son in Logansport, which is about 80 miles north of Indianapolis, two weeks after he was reported missing.

Three SWAT teams, detectives, K9 units and a bomb squad were well prepared to scour multiple buildings on the property, which is owned by the Servant Leader’s Foundation, a nonprofit religious group. Law enforcement officials were ready to begin around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

“With anything of this nature, we have to be well prepared to go into the unknown,” said Sgt. Steven Glass with ISP. “Ultimately, everything went well and everybody is safe, including Bryson.”

Glass said the operation largely remained "peaceful" through and through, explaining that officers came into contact with Muir and his wife once they flashed their warrants. The Muirs, Daniel and his wife Kristen, had skipped their court date Tuesday, which prompted officials to descend onto the property.

“It is a very difficult situation,” Bryson's grandmother Cheryl Wright said. “We’re all very sick about him. It hurts my heart.” It was only a few minutes before Bryson was last seen by anybody save his parents that Wright first alerted authorities to possible mistreatment Bryson was experiencing. She said that her grandson has been "brainwashed" into the Muir family's way of life on a sizable religious group complex near Logansport and that she thinks Bryson was beaten by his father.
