1 critically hurt after shooting at Airbnb party

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a person was critically injured in a shooting on Indy’s near east side Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, at around 4:15 a.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Lexington Avenue on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located a male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Police say he was reported to be in critical condition.

Police say the shooting took place during a party at an Airbnb. Police are still working to learn what led up to the shooting.

No other information was given.
