Besides a few showers hanging over southern portions of Central Indiana, Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be dry, according to the Indianapolis National Weather Service.

The break is temporary. Rain will be likely Sunday with possible thunderstorms starting that afternoon.

Indianapolis is still under a Hazardous Weather Outlook due to thunderstorms and lightning that may continue through Wednesday.

Once the patchy fog clears, Thursday and Friday will see sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees.

"Today, we are going to see a little bit of drier air that moves in,” Randy Bowers, a meteorologist at the Indianapolis National Weather Service said. “The temperature’s not going to be drastically different, it's going to come down a few degrees and the humidity will decrease.”

On Sunday, there will be a 60% chance of rain and a thunderstorm could begin after 2 p.m.
