Update, 4 p.m.: In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Lisa Loeb said her guitar, which she had previously reported stolen from the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis, has been found and is on its way back to her.

"It takes a village," she wrote, "thank you for being mine!"

She continued: "We appreciate all of you. Thanks for your concern! The fellow who took it in the first place was probably just down on his luck and I wish him well too."

Original story: Musician Lisa Loeb says her guitar was stolen at a downtown Indianapolis hotel Tuesday.

The '90s indie darling, who performed at Hendricks Live! Monday evening , said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that her Taylor 512-C (#9765) was stolen from outside the Conrad Hotel, 50 W. Washington St., around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The guitar has gold tuners and was in a pink and red soft case, she said.

A report filed with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department indicates an acoustic guitar valued around $4,000 was reported stolen at that location Tuesday.

In her post, Loeb encouraged anyone with information to contact webmaster@lisaloeb.com.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at crimetips.org or by calling 317-262-8477.
