Tens of thousands flock to Indiana Convention Center for Gen Con weekend. What's happening

Gen Con weekend is here, and officials say it's the first time in the convention's history that it's sold out. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons .

Doors opened at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. Last year, more than 70,000 people attended — some of them in costume.

Gen Con exhibit hall hours

The exhibit hall will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
