Hazardous Weather Outlook for Central Indiana

A Hazardous Weather Outlook (seven day) has been issued for Central Indiana. Day one is today and it wraps up on Thursday.

Patchy dense fog is occurring across portions of central Indiana early Friday morning and isolated, scattered thunderstorms are expected, especially during the afternoon.

"Heavy rain and localized flooding is the main threat, in addition to lightning. The strongest storms could produce damaging wind gusts," the outlook said.

Temperature: High 83 degrees | Low 68 degrees

Patchy fog before 9 a.m. with scattered showers possible throughout the day. A thunderstorm after 3 p.m. is likely. Otherwise, it should be partly sunny.

West southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 11 p.m. Friday night. After 2 a.m expect more patchy fog. The chance of precipitation remains 60% tonight.

Who is on the free stage at the Indiana State Fair Friday night?

Foghat will perform on the free stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the Indiana State Fair.

They are replacing Three Dog Night, who was previously scheduled to perform tonight. Their show has now been postponed until 2025.

Temperature: High 88 degrees | Low 68 degrees

More patchy fog can be expected before 8 a.m. otherwise, it should be mostly sunny. North wind 3 to 7 mph.

Saturday night after 5 a.m. we'll see more patchy fog. Otherwise the weather will be mostly clear. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, the Indiana State Fair will celebrate the Beatles. Hard Days Night, a Beatles Tribute will be on the Free Stage at 2 p.m.; and Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney will be on the same stage at 7 p.m.
