‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ Will Premiere New Episodes on Netflix the Same Day as YouTube

Less than a year ago, Glitch Productions uploaded the pilot episode of “The Amazing Digital Circus” to YouTube with a plea to help them fund a full season. Now, 346 million views later, “The Amazing Digital Circus” is coming to Netflix while continuing to premiere new episodes on YouTube.

A deceptively cheery-looking animated series about life under the big top, the Australian animated series is a delightfully dark comedy about, as Glitch Productions wrote on its website, “A woman gets trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other humans and are now subject to the whims of wacky AI and their own personal traumas.” Or, put another way, “What if it was ‘Toy Story,’ but everyone was a jerk?”

Created and directed by Gooseworx (also a composer on “Hazbin Hotel”) and produced by Glitch Productions, “The Amazing Digital Circus” will premiere Episodes 1–3 on Netflix October 4, the same day the third episode premieres on YouTube. The voice cast includes Lizzie Freeman (“Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure,” “Genshin Impact”) as newbie Pomni, Alex Rochon as the ringmaster Caine, Michael Kovach (“Hazbin Hotel”) as Jax, Sean Chiplock (“Zelda Breath of the Wild”) as Kinger, Amanda Hufford as Ragatha, Marissa Lenti as Gangle, and Ashley Nichols as Zooble.

The Netflix deal is a licensing-only one, and Glitch Productions underlined that fact on its X account, writing, “And to be clear; We’re still independently funding everything, we still get full control of the show, and episodes will continue to ALWAYS come out on YouTube first.”

After Episode 3 premieres same-day on YouTube and Netflix October 4, episodes four through nine will do the same. Watch a trailer for “The Amazing Digital Circus” below; the first two episodes are available to stream now on Glitch Productions’ YouTube channel.
