Carmel residents will soon have a new grocery shopping option.

Niemann Harvest Market will open on 116th Street on May 15, with a grand opening event planned for May 18 and May 19, according to the store’s Facebook page.

The grocery store company is based in Illinois.

Gerry Kettler, director of consumer affairs for Niemann Foods, previously told IndyStar the Harvest Market will mirror the grocery store's Champaign, Illinois location, which has a full-service supermarket and a "chef-driven" restaurant.

"We’re very excited to be part of the vibrant community in Carmel," Kettler said.

The Niemann Harvest Market grand opening event will include live entertainment from local musicians and a chance to meet local producers.

    The store is at 2140 E. 116th St. Carmel, IN 46032 .
