Flamme Burger owner to open Westfield steakhouse near Grand Junction Plaza

The owner of the Flamme Burger is opening a $6.8 million upscale steakhouse in Westfield near Grand Junction Plaza downtown.

Local Restauranteur Henri Najem said H Steakhouse at Jersey and Mill Street will serve handmade pasta, fresh seafood, free-range chicken, prime-aged beef, wine and hand-crafted cocktails.

"Our vision is to create more than just a restaurant; we want to provide a haven where guests can escape the ordinary and immerse themselves in an extraordinary culinary adventure,” Najem said in a city of Westfield news release, describing the dishes as “globally influenced.”

H Steakhouse will be built near a mixed-use development under construction, Union Square at Grand Junction, which will have 196 apartments and first-floor businesses.

The steakhouse will be have 200 seats with a year-round patio in a 9,500-square-foot stand-alone building.

"Revitalizing downtown Westfield is a key priority for my administration, and the investment from the Najem family will be an excellent addition to the area,” Mayor Scott Willis said in the news release.

Najem owns Flamme Burger at Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis, recent winner of IndyStar’s Best Burger contest, and Savor on Main Street in Carmel, featuring wood-fired Mediterranean and Italian dishes.

Najem’s two sons, Nick and Alec, who operate and manage Flamme Burger and Savor, respectively, will operate H Steakhouse.

Najem and his wife Shelly, of Geist, opened their first restaurant, Paisano’s, nearly 30 years ago at 71st Street and Binford Boulevard. Shortly afterward, they opened Bella Vita at Geist, a popular spot on the water, which they sold in 2014.

Flamme Burger’s first location was in Fishers at the Depot at Nickel Plate apartment building in 2015. They also opened a Flamme Burger in Whitestown. Both are now closed.

H Steakhouse’s plan will be presented to the Advisory Plan Commission in June and officials anticipate it opening in early 2025, about the same time as a Union Square parking garage.
